Windows 1o: How to make elevated or unelevated programs recognize network drives

It will happen to you that a mapped network drives create with an elevated process cannot be visible to a unelevated process and vice versa.
To disable that isolation you can add a DWORD entry to the registry.
To do that open the registry by typing REGEDIT in the RUN COMMAND:

run_regedit

Navigate now to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

and create a new DWORD entry named EnableLinkedConnections with a value of 1.

key_regedit

Reboot your computer, now the network drives are accessible by all process!

That’s all, see you soon!
